Dr. David Morgan
PhD, Director of Quality Assurance
Dave Morgan is a chemist with an unusually broad background. As a graduate student, he contributed to understanding the structure and formation of the plaques that form in Alzheimer’s at the University of Chicago. After earning his Ph.D., he looked at how a drug molecule changed the behaviour of a protein involved in cancer and cell movement as a post-doctoral fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He went on to teach biochemistry for seven years, most recently at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Dave will guarantee the quality and safety of the company’s cannabis products in our state-of-the-art Quality Assurance and Research and Development Laboratory.
Following a work accident that left Darcy partially paralyzed and in a wheelchair, he turned to medical cannabis for his own pain management. He has since spent countless hours working as a patient advocate throughout Nova Scotia. Over the past 18 years he has developed a great deal of growing experience, working in grow rooms and helping other patients with both small and large-scale growing practises. As a licensed grower of medical cannabis, he excels at working with organic practises, and is an expert on breeding, genetics, and curing.
